Our elegant Twin Lakes Restaurant features, as its name suggests, the most wonderful views of Lough Conn. The very best international cuisine is cooked fresh daily by our executive chef, Mary Geary. It is complemented by a professional and friendly service that is second nature to the Geary family and staff. The restaurant gives a feeling of being even closer to the water’s edge, with floor-to-ceiling windows presenting breathing views.

Also with stunning views overlooking Lough Conn, the most magnificent sunsets can be enjoyed whilst dining and relaxing over a leisurely dinner in the Terrace Restaurant. Bistro in style and dishes, this cosy and intimate setting is also ideal for private parties and events. Opening to the waterside terrace, it is magical for barbecues, summer buffets, and more for corporate, club, family and informal events.

The informal and relaxed Waterfront Bar offers spectacular views of Lough Conn and is a captivating draw for a pint of Guinness or a glass of wine. Area Information

Pontoon is located in the heart of Co. Mayo and is wonderfully situated between the twin lakes of Conn and Cullin. It is an area rather than a town, with the hotel nestled between both lakes and 2 mountain ranges, Nephin (2,646 feet) and the Ox Mountains.

The locality is surrounded by nature at its best. It is renowned world wide for the quality of wild brown trout and salmon fishing it offers, and the oldest oak trees in the country. Pine Martins and squirrels are plentiful and the scooter duck breed in the waters between the hotel jetty and oak wood. A designated Wildlife Sanctuary is located nearby with the National Museum of Ireland (Museum of Country Life) located close by in Castlebar.

The Pontoon Bridge Hotel is the ideal base for touring the undiscovered regions and wild rugged coastlines of North Mayo, Connemara, Achill and the cities of Galway and Sligo. Knock Airport is only 25 minutes from Pontoon and the towns of Ballina, Castlebar and Swinford are each 18 km in distance. The nearby villages of Foxford, Ross and Knockmore are within 6.5 km, with Westport also located just 32 km from the hotel.
